General Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n
The General Manager will support the Executive Director in multiple areas running our nonprofit.<\/p>\n
Example of Duties<\/b><\/p>\n
\n
\n
Manage timely administration of contracts with artists and independent contractors<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Issue invoices and track revenue for performances.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Establish a safe and inspiring work environment for employees, contractors, and artists.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Establishing good relationships with staff and board members, donors to further our mission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Develop and implement a reasonable marketing and public relations plan for Clara\u2019s Trip and Rouge that includes regular communication with the community, press, funders, and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Coordinating Community Engagement programs (educational residencies, in-school shows, workshops, community events).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
The plan may include, but not be limited to, direct mail and electronic communications, targeted marketing campaigns, advertising, surveys, media communications, and promotions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Manage the budget for each performance. Collaborate with the Executive and Artistic Director on budget and marketing strategies to meet goals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Communicate timely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n
\n
\n
Enthusiasm for our mission and programming<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Experience in dance and\/or circus arts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Leaders are readers. This is a leadership position and we are looking for people who want to improve their skills on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Experience in non-profit sales (contributed and earned revenue) in the performing arts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Superior customer service skills \u2013 Friendly, cheerful, hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Excellent planning, task management, and organizational skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Transparent and high integrity leadership. Previous nonprofit leadership experience preferred<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Strong non-profit financial literacy and budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Ability to manage multiple priorities amidst uncertainty<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences and communication styles<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
